This is a “S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Anomaly” mod fansite. The idea behind it is to collect all the Anomaly related info from Mod DB, Discord, YouTube and display it in one place, in a n00b friendly format. Anomaly news, videos, changelogs, guides, hot addons etc.

You might or might not know me as SoulforgedCRO on Mod DB, mostly by commenting “Anomaly” mod and related addons.
I am one of those people who got somewhat “late” to the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. party. I knew that the games existed but somehow I missed them when they came out. At one point in time, I’ve decided to finally play them. It was tough… The atmosphere was amazing but I had many issues with the gameplay segment… Some things just felt off. Not to mention all the bugs and glitches. However, the feeling of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. remained. After some time, I wanted to play the games again, but I just couldn’t force myself to do it. That is when I discovered the “Misery” mod. My mind was blown! After that I started to follow the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. modding scene, although I wasn’t an active member of its community yet. I fell in love with “Call of Chernobyl”, “Call of Misery”, “Last Day” and in the end, “Anomaly”.
I think that modding is the future of gaming. This might not be recognized or acknowledged by the industry but it can be seen and felt from the player’s point of view. The S.T.A.L.K.E.R. modding community is the perfect example of that. And “Anomaly” is its pinnacle (so far), at least in my eyes. For me, it is just the perfect S.T.A.L.K.E.R. experience, with an insanely amazing development team and a very deep pool of addons behind it.
The issue with the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. modding (and modding in general), from my personal experience, is a hard point of entry. In other words, new players often don’t know where to start. Where to download mods and addons? How to install them? Are they compatible with each other? How do they work? How to overcome bugs and crashes? And so on… Even the players who are already familiar with specific mods are often confused about their state. Is the mod still being developed? When is the next update coming? What was changed in the new version? What addons are compatible with it? Sure, there are amazing Russian websites / fan pages, but not everyone is Russian. There is also Discord, but even if you know where and what to search for, it can still get tricky (if you are not a regular there).
I also think that the entire S.T.A.L.K.E.R. modding community could benefit even more from additional exposure of many amazing content creators in its community. I am not only talking about YouTube content creators but also about individual talent amongst various mod development teams, such as coders, animators, artists, designers etc.
Hopefully, this website will help both newcomers and existing players to immerse themselves more easily into the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. universe and motivate its modders and other content creators to keep creating amazing things within it. Things we all can enjoy. <3
